NVB – modernisation of the National Diploma Registry

The National Diploma Registry (NVB) is the central solution for registering, validating and sharing diplomas and certificates of competence from upper secondary education. The solution is an important part of the infrastructure for secure handling of educational data in Norway.

NVB is being modernised to meet new requirements for flexibility, integration and maintenance. The new platform is based on modern architecture, international standards and an advanced rules engine that makes it easier to validate, share and manage diploma data.

Innovatec has played a central role in the modernisation work, with responsibility within architecture, system development and project execution. The work has included the development of a new data model based on the European Learning Model (ELMv3), establishment of access control, migration strategy, testing and the introduction of agile work processes.

Through close collaboration with the project owner and other professional communities, Innovatec has helped establish a robust and future-oriented solution for handling diplomas and certificates of competence.
